Aigbe Omoregie

MD / CEO
Intercontinental Paints Ltd.

Aigbe Omoregie, an acute entrepreneur born on 11th March, 1981, into a Benin, Edo household in the Southern part of Nigeria, is the MD/CEO of Intercontinental Paints Limited, a company he founded in 2006 with an initial capital base of Eighteen thousand naira (N18,000) and has employed over 50 people from inception. Intercontinental Paint Ltd has grown into a multi-million naira company and has now become a household name in the paint and construction industry in Nigeria. He is also the MD of Dutch Construction Limited, convener and founder of the Young CEO Initiative and publisher of the Young CEO magazine.

Armed with a degree from Auchi Polytechnic & University of Ibadan in Investigative Journalism and Reporting, he began his way early in life setting up and running various businesses at the mere age of 12 ranging from Poultry, Automobile, IT, Paint Manufacturing and recently Real Estate development.

He is indeed a man with a keen eye for business opportunities and a relentless supporter and promoter for entrepreneurship in Nigeria. This is evident in his passion to train & mentor young people on the skill sets needed to grow and sustain businesses in Nigeria. This was what led him to establish the Under 20 CEO Initiative in early 2012.

Mr Omoregie was listed on the 2017 Forbes Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa.

In 2017, Africa Youth Awards named him among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans, an initiative instituted to promote African youth movements and achieving and also restoring excellence in the works of young people across Africa.

He is married to a beautiful, fashion game changer, Nonso.

Aigbe Omoreige was a delegate at the High-Level Meetings of the Seventy-Second Session of the UN General Assembly — 19-28 September 2017, in New York. He was part of the discussions centered on the Sustainable Development Goals, International relations, amongst other topics.

Omoreige was selected based on his outstanding entrepreneurship record and as an influential young entrepreneur in Africa who is also promoting and nurturing the entrepreneurship drive amongst other young people in his home country, Nigeria. He promotes this through a youth organization which he founded in 2013, 'The Young CEO'.

The Young CEO is a youth development initiative designed to empower small business owners across Nigeria. The initiative is designed to reach and touch the lives of these budding entrepreneurs by not just giving them grants but by also providing them access to mentors in their various industries.
